This is the classroom version of our flagship course, Enterprise Architecture Using TOGAF® 9. This course was the first Accredited TOGAF 9 Training Course fully accredited by The Open Group in 2009. The current curriculum was re-accredited in 2018. It is up to date with all required changes through TOGAF 9.2.
COURSE DESCRIPTION 
A more practical application of the TOGAF standard is provided in this course. It addresses industry trends and challenges that are influencing how organizations are defining and implementing their enterprise architecture. The 4-day offering covers the key learning points required for both Level 1 and Level 2 TOGAF 9 certification. It includes lectures, case studies, and individual and group activities.
Examples and exercises demonstrate the activities performed in the Architecture Development Method (ADM) phases. The activities are aimed at applying select artifacts and deliverables to enterprise architecture projects.

A private Student Website is activated by us for each course about 1-2 weeks before the course begins. This allows students to get an advance opportunity to access and review course materials. The materials in this Student Website supports the training and can be an invaluable resource after the course.
CASE STUDY
A case study is used to permit the students to apply course concepts to practical problems and situations that often arise in an enterprise environment.
WORKBOOK
Each student receives our course workbook. The workbook follows the course presentation and provides simple, practical exercises that apply course content. It also has quizzes that allow the student to check and confirm their understanding of the course material.
An answer key for the course workbook is also provided. The key provides the correct answers and explanations to support self-study.
PRACTICE EXAM
Practice Exams developed by The Open Group are provided by us to all students in our accredited courses. Metaplexity Associates staff have participated in the development of the certification exams in the subjects we teach. Some TOGAF exams available on the Internet are poorly developed and don’t adhere to the examination conformance requirements. In some cases, practice exams come from illicit “Exam Dump” sites. These should be avoided.
VOUCHER
We issue an Examination Voucher to each participant in our accredited courses. The Open Group is now using Pearson VUE as the examination provider. The voucher can be used exchanged at any Pearson test center that administers TOGAF examinations. The TOGAF 9 certification examination will be administered at the end of the course.

This is the new TOGAF® Essentials 2018 course!
This course, developed by The Open Group, will bring you up to date on the changes to the TOGAF® 9 standard with the release of the TOGAF® 9.2 specification.
People who already hold TOGAF® 9, Level 2 certification can earn a new credential to show their understanding of the new standard.
The TOGAF® Essentials 2018 is offered at a standard course fee of $200 USD, but for existing Metaplexity clients, the course fee will be $150 USD, both prices including a voucher for the online certification exam for the credential.
Metaplexity Associates, Inc. will present online versions of this course. Private courses can be arranged for live classroom or online offerings.

Expected Outcomes
Upon completion of this 3-hour course, each student will receive a voucher that will enable them to take a 20-question, online, open-book assessment. Upon achieving a score of 75% or better, students will earn the TOGAF® Essentials 2018 credential. This credential will be administered using the Pearson VUE Acclaim web-enabled digital badge.
The TOGAF® 9.2 release has expanded coverage of areas such as Business Architecture, that will enable the Enterprise Architect to create capabilities that support strategic business imperatives. It addresses many change requests that improve the content in technical and editorial ways. A major improvement is the separation of the core standard and guidance documentation. A new TOGAF® Library assembles several Open Group white papers and guidance documents. This curated set of documents will allow the TOGAF® standard to be responsive to emerging trends much faster than publishing a single volume.
