A GREAT WAY TO LEARN ABOUT THE TOGAF® STANDARD
Early Bird 5% discount until July 18
Metaplexity Associates, Inc. is offering a five-day workshop that prepares your team to use the TOGAF® standard to create enterprise architectures for your organization. This workshop extends our 4 day Accredited TOGAF 9 Training Course with additional content that is designed to apply concepts and techniques from the TOGAF® standard. The course provides an opportunity to take the TOGAF® 9 Certification Examination in class at the end of the course.
Instructors and materials incorporate in-class exercises and workshop activities throughout the course. The goal is to enable students to be able to better apply knowledge of the TOGAF® standard.
This is classroom version of our flagship course, Enterprise Architecture Using TOGAF® 9. This course was the first Accredited TOGAF 9 Training Course fully accredited by The Open Group in 2009. The current curriculum, Version 3.5, was reaccredited in 2016. It is up to date with all required changes through TOGAF 9.1.
This workshop is designed to provide more practical application of the TOGAF standard. It addresses industry trends and challenges that are influencing how organizations are defining and implementing their enterprise architecture. The 5-day offering covers the key learning points required for both Level 1 and Level 2 TOGAF 9 certification. It includes lectures, case studies, and individual and group activities.
Examples and exercises demonstrate the activities performed in the Architecture Development Method (ADM) phases. The workshop activities are aimed at applying select artifacts and deliverables to enterprise architecture projects.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The workshop is designed for:
- Enterprise Architects
- Project Management
- Business Analysts
- Domain Architects
- Solution Architects
It will also be relevant to people in other disciplines who wish to play more informed roles in conducting or participating in enterprise architecture projects and initiatives. It is excellent for CTO’s and CIO’s as well, who want to learn not only what TOGAF is all about, but how application of the framework can impact business strategy, affecting both the top and bottom lines.
This course prepares the students for successful completion of the TOGA
F 9 certification exams. However, the primary focus is to develop the ability to use the TOGAF standard to create effective enterprise architectures. Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- take the TOGAF Part 1 and Part 2 exams
- apply concepts and techniques from the TOGAF standard in his organization
STUDENT WEB SITE
We activate a private Student Website for each course about 1-2 weeks before the course begins. This allows students to get an advance opportunity to access and review course materials. The materials in this Student Website supports the training and can be an invaluable resource after the course.
We use a case study to permit the students to apply course concepts to practical problems and situations that often arise in an enterprise environment.
We provide a course workbook to each student. The workbook follows the course presentation and provides simple, practical exercises that apply course content. The workbook also has quizzes that allow the student to check and confirm their understanding of the course material.
We also provide an answer key for the course workbook. The key provides the correct answers and explanations to support self-study.
We provide Practice Exams developed by The Open Group to all students in our accredited courses. Metaplexity Associates staff have participated in the development of the certification exams in the subjects we teach. Some TOGAF practice exams available on the Internet are poorly developed and don’t adhere to the examination conformance requirements. In some cases, practice exams come from illicit “Exam Dump” sites. These should be avoided.
We issue an Examination Voucher to each participant in our accredited courses. The Open Group is now using Pearson VUE as the examination provider. The voucher can be used exchanged at any Pearson test center that administers TOGAF examinations. In some courses, the examination can be administered at the end of the course.
